Our tips for the ultimate experience at Galaxy’s Edge
Our top tips for touring in this epic new land of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

(We were hosted for this experience by Disney but these are my own thoughts and opinions about the Land.)
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is now open to the public starting May 31st with reservations until June 23rd! After that you can go anytime. Mia and I made sure to explore this magical land of Batuu for you and share all of our tips. Before entering the land be sure to downland the Play Disney Parks app so you can be interactive and help either the Resistance or the Order complete their goals!
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
With our first steps into the land of Batuu we headed right for this epic ride! The Millennium Falcon. You can Step aboard the “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” and strap into the Falcon cockpit. Guests take the controls as pilots, gunners or flight engineers on a mission to deliver smuggled goods while avoiding any … unnecessary entanglements. Mia was the gunner and thought it was the greatest job ever. I sat in the back as the engineer which definitely required less skill (leave that job to the littlest ones) The pilots should definitely be more experienced riders.

Oga’s Cantina
Epic news! Disneyland is now serving adult beverages! The main watering hole in this land serves as the heart of Black Spire Outpost. Guests gather to share their tales from around the galaxy as they enjoy exotic beverages. Full of color and fun make sure to get in line early because this is the place to be! They even have kid friendly drinks!

Black Spire Outpost Marketplace
Stroll the bustling marketplace, full of vendors showcasing wares from across the galaxy. Guests can pick up authentic Batuuan attire with a stop at Black Spire Outfitters, or peek into the cages in the Creature Stall. We picked up a hand made Chewbacca to take home for Penna!

First Order TIE echelon
A new assault vehicle in the TIE (twin ion engine) series, this echelon shuttle is used by the First Order for small troop and cargo transport.
Milk Stand
View the stall that offers two local favorites – Blue Milk and Green Milk. Both provide a frozen blend of exotic tastes and fruity accents, with Green Milk delivering a bit more zing. The best part was that they are plant based which was a huge bonus for my little lactose intolerant daughter! She loved the blue and I loved the green so once again we were on different sides!

Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities
Shop for mysterious and unique galactic artifacts collected by Dok-Ondar, a legendary antiquities dealer who is as mysterious as many of the objects he collects. You can use your Play DIsney Parks app to interact in this shop and you can even make deals to buy some of the artifacts.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs’ transport shuttle sits atop Docking Bay 7 as a mobile kitchen and restaurant, turning the hangar into Tuggs’ Grub. Tuggs’ journeys from system to system allow him to fill his pantry with exotic ingredients he uses to make new and unusual dishes.

Droid Depot
For this custom astromech adventure, guests enter a workshop stocked with stacks of parts, chips and manuals to construct their own droid, one of the galaxy’s most indispensable sidekicks. Mia loved this experience. She named hers Spot. This experience took about 15 mins and cost about 100$.

Ronto Roasters
Ronto Roasters draws attention from passersby with its large podracing engine firing up a barbecue pit. When hungry customers queue up to order, they encounter a former smelter droid, 8D-J8, carefully turning the spit of meats. Some call the wraps served here “space meat.” I was pleasantly surprised with the food at this stand! One of my new favorites in Disney and the Jerky will be a huge hit for all those Keto dieters out there (including my husband)

X-Wing
A versatile ship balancing speed and firepower, the X-wing is a nimble starfighter used in dogfights first by the Rebel Alliance and now the Resistance. Its name comes from the “X” its four wings create in locked attack position.

Build your own light saber: One of the most magical experiences of the day was letting Mia experience building her own Light Saber . She designed her own custom Light Saber with every detail meaning something to her. The experience had a beautiful ceremony which made everyone feel like a true Jedi. The entire experience took about 30 mins so save time.

And More: Look for Stormtroopers, Chewbacca and Kylo Ren as you tour the land of Galaxy’s Edge . We thought it was so cool how they interacted with us at every turn! Every cast member was in true character. I would highly suggest dressing as a part of the resistance. Mia had so much fun being called out and taken away by the stormtroopers for being in the resistance. Made her experience even more magical, and made her feel truly a part of this world. She felt like she was in the movie and living the life of a strong willed girl.
