Preping the turkey with Lucini Olive Oil
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! To me, it is about bringing people together to enjoy a day. It is a day of looking back on the year and talking about what we are thankful for. (ironically before we start telling our children to ask for new things for Christmas) We sit down together (atleast the adults do) and engage in conversations that last until the late evening. Maybe I love it so much because my love language is definitely Quality Time, or maybe it is just my love for pumpkins, but either way I am excited to give you a peek into a Thanksgiving At Home with the Zierings.
Kids Corner-
I set the kids table separately. I know holidays can be hard for children to sit at the adult table for a long dinner so I love giving them their own space to sit and be thankful together. I used the Gathre Mat as a table cover and thanksgiving paper from Pottery Barn Kids that the kids could color on. I used a separate small table for some holiday crafts using Yoobi materials.
Adult time-
The women were in the kitchen all day and the guys were outside playing with the kids. You can check out our facebook live on At Home with the Zierings for the women cooking! I set the adult table with the same paper table runner as the children. It actually doubled as a fun coloring piece after dessert later in the night. We served up all the classics and enjoyed a long day of fun.
